Alexander has not only a great collection of car brochures and a cool homepage, he also has a bit of interest in funeral cars. He scanned this picture from a Pollmann brochure. | |
Pay attention to the rear lights: They are completely integrated into the large rear lid |
The brochure text translates to: "The A6 quattro by Pollmann- A new face in this class Pretentious in the right scale - Our vehicle for customers with brains.
The Audi A6 quattro has the superior quattro drivetrain which has a tradition at Audi in Ingolstadt. For our A6 quattro we have lengthened the wheelbase by 500mm (20") and offer you a plus in safety during all seasons in every weather. The permanent all wheel drive gives you safe braking on all surfaces [Well, I would rather rely on the stock ABS system!], dynamic acceleration and safe cornering.
The lengthened A6 (turning diameter 12,2m/40feet!) weighs in at 1930kg (4255pounds) with a driver and full fuel tank. Load levelling is surely a good idea with a car that may weigh up to 2340kg/5159pounds. An A6 loaded with one or two heavy oak coffins that sits low in the rear certainly would not look very elegant. |
